My fascination with 17th-century still-life painters motivated me to peel a real-life orange and create an actual scene in my bedroom corner. I manipulated the lighting and painted from real life, with only letting my imagination enhance the plain wine glass into a historic roemer and probably upgrading a cheap aluminum cup into a silver beaker I didn’t own.

Years later I made a copy of this for a buyer so officially, there are two of these in the world, only I didn’t take a picture of it. A shame, cause even copies done by the same artist always have slight differences.
